Jessica is a Brooklyn-based abstract painter. Born in New Hartford, New York, a fraternal twin and eldest of 4 siblings, she and her family lived in upstate New York and summered in coastal MA. She graduated with honors from Skidmore College in 1997, with a concentration in Studio Art (Painting and Graphic Design), where she honed in on her love for abstract painting in acrylics and house paint. Jessica’s gestural, colorful and energetic work is inspired by the world that surrounds us, by her many richly varied life experiences and by her love for the medium of paint. While painting continuously, she has lived in New York City and worked in media (PAPER Magazine), advertising (Laird+Partners), fragrance (ADF/Estee Lauder) and luxury fashion (Max Mara) as a graphic designer and art director for over 20 years, Jessica is currently a full time artist and occasional freelance designer. She and her husband and daughter live in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and her studio is in Greenpoint.
